Hiawatha Music Co-op Event Set | News, Sports, Jobs
MARQUETTE — The Hiawatha Music Co-op will host two fun, family-friendly events during the month of April.
On Thursday, join the Watts family from 7-8 p.m. for a rowdy performance at Hiawatha Fold, 1015 N. Third St. #9 in Marquette. Members of the Phil, Annette and Salem Watts family will offer the public great classics of early music. Hop on one of the comfy sofas or sit down and let the kids rock and dangle their feet to the music at The Fold. A $5 donation is recommended to participate.
For those unable to attend in person, a livestream will be available on Facebook: www.facebook.com/HiawathaMusicFestival
The following week, HMC will partner with Ore Dock Brewing Co. to present a co-op favorite, the HoTAAP Children’s Concert (Hiawatha on TAAP – Traditional Acoustic Arts Performance) on Wednesday, April 20 from 6-8 p.m. Ore Dock, 114 W. Spring St, Marquette.
Local singer-songwriter Papa Crow and Friends, a variety of other popular local musicians, share music for families. A variety of Ore Dock favorites will be at your fingertips for adults and children. A light meal will be available. Tickets are $5 for members and $7 for non-members and will be available at the door.
All events are accessible and inclusive with opportunities for all ages to dance and sing. Coloring and craft activities will also be offered to those who wish to keep their hands busy while listening to music.
